being jobless isn't exactly a great feeling, i'm already starting to miss teaching in rv. i guess i can say that because a relief teacher's jobscope is on a much lighter scale as compared to a full time teacher.
woke up early yesterday because i wanted to crash rv's yog carnival. the light rain in the morning sort of dampened my mood a little but fortunately the carnival events wasn't greatly disrupted as the rain clouds parted soon after i reached the school. went around visiting the different sports event that was occurring all over the school and watched my classes compete in ultimate frisbee and the relay run. somehow 3C and 3G both tied for the "excellence" award (excellence being one of the YOG values and the award given to the best peforming class) and i must say i'm really proud of them. i was with 3c most of the time and i really thought they displayed a strong bond between the classmates. impressive.
and of course i managed (though little) to play what i went for - water soccer. yep, they actually got the fico guys to go down to set up the pitch (cost a few k for both bossaball and the water soccer pitches) so i wanted to go try it out. not an easy feat, but definitely fun. it's totally unlike soccer to the extent that i think even cristiano ronaldo or lionel messi would play at the same standard as us in that water filled pitch. it's definitely a good carnival game that can be enjoyed by everyone. only problem is the overwhelming cost =/
well i guess i learnt quite a bit from being a teacher, definitely a better and a more complete experience compared to 2 years ago. and at the same time, it allowed me to affirm my feelings:
i miss going to school.
to my students reading this:
i am jealous of you all. really.
