common test results in order of PCME and GP: B,A,B,U and S.
guess it's pretty obvious what i suck at and what i'm good at eh? ok la actually the econs grade is predicted due to the fact that our papers were not returned to us yet. but judging from the comments by the econs teachers (plus the fact that most likely only 10% of the cohord passed), the chance of me getting U is 99%. ah well...
saa schools relays were screwed up. i think only my 4x200m run was fairly decent.
and my legs are like dead. shin splint bugging me on both my shins. left hamstring showing signs of over straining and it feels as if they will pull anytime. and there's this f-ing big blister on my right foot all thanks to smart me who did my workout on monday without me shoes on. tell me how am i suppose to run.
national juniors next next week...

gp results totally dampened my mood
for this first half of the day that is.
chem results brought me back to life.
and the stars seemed to have answered my prayers. naraen is recovering well and chances of him running this sunday is... well, high enough. and we now have a new j1 sprinter joining us which makes things look even better. though i must admit the 4x100m (rojak) team now still have much to be improved on. for this sunday, we'll just 尽全力应付比赛. 就相信船到桥头自然直吧
jiayou!
ps: to all those who wished my happy birthday: arigato gozaimasu

1st allcomers meet on sunday. my performance? fairly ok i suppose. finally broke that 40s barrier (which i should have broken last year...) but it's ok. i can only get better. and everyone else ran well too.
and please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please let naraen recover so that we can at least run the 4x100m race this weekend. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
training today. quite satisfied since i bettered my timing for my 6x200m once again. next is to go 30 for every set.
as for common test results, so far ony got back physics. got a B for it. at least i managed to maintain the same standard as last year's common test. still have more results to come. i don't have a good feeling about them though...
saa schools relay this weekend, national juniors roughly 3 weeks away. things are just starting to get heated up. as far as i know soccer and table tennis's nationals tournament will start next week. syf in a month's time. nationals schools cross country in less than a month's time. the battle is finally beginning.
go team nj.
oh and also,
tanjoubi omedeto =)

case 1: an athlete training through injury, bearing the pain and refusing to go for the necessary treatments. trying to do whatever possible means to buy time to at least be able to last through the season.
case 2: an athlete going for training despite knowing that she's not well. unwillingly got sent home (?!) and was unable to train with the others as he/she was told to rest well and recover.
both were different in terms of their current situation, but both had one thing in common - their sense of commitment for the team.
to me, they're both great people, great athletes, trying so hard to do whatever they can for the team despite deing plagued by injuries. they're the ones who'll make it big at the end of the day, they're the winners.
it sucks to be on the bench (is this term only used in soccer?) because of an injury. i know that, and i know it very well. broke my second metatarsal (dunno how to spell) when i was in sec3. missed the entire track season completely. i cried then, on the inside. but back then i know, the only thing left for me to do was to recover and get back in form so that i can run again.
looking at the 2 mentioned above just made me think (though i always say dont think too much) about a lot of things. somehow i wish that there's something i can do for them. life is unfair isn't it? there're those who badly want to train and yet are tied down by so many obsatcles, and yet there're those who're 100% fit who're slacking around in who knows where.
and it sucks to get answers like, "there's nothing you can do about it"
i'll just have to work harder...

it has been a hell of a week... seriously...
whoever sets the date of road run to be right after common tests...
i was literally a walking zombie today, just like the ones who you whack when you play diablo2 or resident evil...
let's talk about CTs first. not as hard as i expected it to be given the amount of warning i've hard from my seniors last year. mr. low's reason for chemistry being "this year all the questions are set by young teachers so they're relatively easier compared to past years" or something along that line. maths was careless mistake-ful as usual. i actually read 5 years as 5 months. and that paramatric question killed me totally. fortunately econs didn't pull me down as much as i had expected it to. but then again i have not idea how i faired because all i know was to just write and write. DRQ was quite badly done i suppose.
physics. probably the hardest mcq ever attempted. i thought 40mins for 20 questions should be enough, but just when i'm about to start on the 3rd question i looked at my watch. 10mins passed. started chionging like crazy and tikam-ed the answer for question 3 (fortunately i got it right). but i enjoyed that mcq paper actually, it kind of like really pushed me to my max, like how a 300m run does. section b and c was better except for the fact that i left some parts empty.
skill a was so-so, nothing much to say. after that, lots of admin work regarding road marshals all the way to 7.00pm. skipped training because of that.
today - reached school at 6:20am, briefed the road marshals and set off to place them around the route. rushed back to school to attend to the rear runners before running with xian yong and xingqun as the rear runners for jc2 guys. had a hard time trying to make the last 3 super-slackers move their feet, if not they would have probaly finished the thing in an hour's time. after the event was over, did a hell lot of sai kang before heading out to vila'ge for lunch with the trackers.
after that was home sweet home and a nice journey to lala land.
am i still quite dead now...

somebody please explain econs chapter 9 to me before i start ripping the notes into shreds, or pulling my hair out and going bald before i even step onto pulau tekong.
it hadn't been this bad before. not even during o levels, when i made that daring move to give up studying lit. because this time there's no such thing as dropping subjects. it's either make or break.
drop to h1... i don't mind... we'll see what common test has to say...
the best way is never the easy way...
