hello flu, long time no see. must be because of the weather. (or i can be thick skinned and say: "someone must be really missing me alot")
thankfully it came after my tennis game ytd because i thought i managed to find back my strokes (except my serves). somehow i decided to change the way i hit and it worked pretty well. now if i can only get my serves in... and i thought i could test my improvements by playing with mr. teo and ms loo today but along came the nose who decided that it should go for a run. and here i am stuck in my house, with the unbeautiful afternoon weather
and i think unbeautiful is a great song.
let's rewind a bit. friday was hq rsn cohesion day (hq means headquarters, rsn means republic of singapore navy). wasn't too boring, neither was it any bit exciting. left for orchard after that to play left for dead. i think the number of times i've played lan with my friends have finally hit the 2 digit mark. i'm not a crazy gamer and neither do i enjoy first person shooters. but ya it's always the company that matters.
after that headed down to zouk with eT and his poly mates to catch AAR (aaron without the ON, not that they turn me off beause they definitely don't) live. this is the second time in a while i've caught one of my favourite band's performance live for free, am i cheapo or what. they started with 'swing swing', and followed through with 'dirty little secrets', 'move along', 'mona lisa', 'i wanna' and ended with 'gives you hell'. it was great nonetheless, just that i thought BLG's performance was better (sorry AAR =p). and i was thoroughly disppointed that they didn't play 'it ends tonight' because that was my second favourite from all 3 of their album. and there wasn't any encore nor was there any effort at calling for one (ok there was a bit, a lousy one).
and after the performance i went into zouk for the first time in my life, for free! (cheapoism strikes again). i didn't do anything inside but just walked a few rounds and came out after that for the lucky draw. oh btw i forgot to mention that there was some nokia phone launch event that day. anyway it would be so unlike me to party at zouk so i decided not to bother and go home after that.
