ok i guess my ns vocation is somewhat confirmed. went for the vocational assessment for the naval diving unit on monday, and the impression i got from the test was that no matter how uninterested you appear, no matter how retarded you act, as long as you pass the medical tests, 70% of the time you'll get in. wth.
anw, the tests consisted of medical checkup, pull-ups, standing broad jump, and 100m swim. and i'm actually quite surpirsed there were non-swimmers there. then there was this test where we had to go into this pressure chamber to experience the pressure at 10m depth (okok, i admit for the period of time i kept thinking of pV=nRT). then we had this damn long 300+ questions IQ and personality test. imagine shading 300+ answers onto the oas. its hell. then there was the interview where the interviewer said, "go train your 2.4km to 9:15, can right? ok" and without a reply from me, he ticked the box which says "highly recommended". ok...
if there's anything for me to look forward to in ndu, it's the food. we had lunch and dinner there that day and the food was good. and i assure you they didn't make the food good just because we (outsiders) were there. the food we had there is what the divers have daily. i guess even if life is going to be hell in ndu, there's still the food for me to look forward to (unless ia have to be out in the sea fishing).
well, until the enlistment letter comes i can only be 90% sure i'll get in.
ok i've talked enough about ndu. till next time then
happy national day folks.
