certain people said certain stuff this week which struck me quite deeply...
oh well...
track elections today. i must say i havent been as good a track captain as i had wanted myself to be. i probably failed more than i accomplished. probably it was the lack of leadership experience that cost me. but all i could think of today was to do my last task well - to pass the baton to the best people who i believe can serve the team better. it's officially the end of the road now. all the hamstring strains and shin splints won't be bugging me for a while.
one fall after another. i can only get stronger.
track aside. i've just received a letter from mindef asking me to report to sembawang naval base on 6/8/07 at 730am (i live in the west, mind you). apparently it's the vocational assessment for the naval diving unit. i can't even swim well. fyi, i learnt swimming on my own (a bit from my father) and i only mastered breast stroke and 3/4 of free style. now i'm suppose to go for a diving test? what a joke. and these are some descriptions from people about the ndu.
"saikang warrior" (undersea rescue or go and search for stuff like dead bodies)
"underwater commando" (10x worse than track training. everyone inside there got 8 pec. training damn hiong etc. etc.)
"i heard got condition (to get in) one, like the person must have siblings or smth like that" (this one is scary. infer yourself)
the best one from zhirui. "the difference between ndu and commando is that one parachutes and the other dives. one fall and die the other drown and die."
